Age notice. Companion Compass for Canada describes AI companion and chat apps. Some of these apps allow sexual text or imagery between a user and a fictional adult character. The site is meant only for readers who are 18 or older, or who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory if that age is higher. When you confirm your age, your browser stores the confirmation in localStorage so the prompt does not appear again. The confirmation is not sent to the publisher and is not proof of age. Each app runs its own age gate, either a self-declaration or a third-party check, and that app's rule decides who can use it.
Pages on this site describe fictional adult characters only. The site never presents content involving minors, or the likeness of a real, identifiable person, as a feature. Products excluded for safety or policy reasons are not listed, ranked or linked anywhere on the site.
Affiliate disclosure. Some outbound links are affiliate links. If you follow one and buy a subscription or credits, the app operator may pay the publisher a commission. The operator pays it, and this site adds no charge of its own. Affiliate links never change a score. Ratings use a single scale out of five and are calculated from each app's published terms, pricing, policies and store listings on the dates shown. The criteria are pricing transparency, free tier, cancellation and refunds, content rules, privacy, age check, platforms and language, and reputation. We have not yet run paid test accounts, so total scores are capped at 4.5 until we add experience criteria such as how memory works in practice and conversation quality. A product with no affiliate arrangement can rank above one that has an arrangement if the published facts support it, and each product has the same rating on every page.
Prices and dates. Prices are shown before GST/HST, which depends on your province. If an operator publishes a price only in US dollars, it appears as US$ and is not converted. A dollar sign with no stated currency is not assumed to mean Canadian dollars. Every price, free-tier limit and policy detail shows the date it was checked. Operators change their terms often, so before paying, check the checkout amount, the renewal price and whether a given payment method (such as Interac, credit card, PayPal or crypto) is accepted on the operator's own page.
Privacy policy. This policy covers only what Companion Compass for Canada itself handles, and it was written with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) in mind. The site has no user accounts, no comment or chat features and no sign-up form, so it does not collect chat content, login credentials or payment details. Your browser keeps two settings in localStorage: your display theme and your age confirmation. Both stay on your device, and you can delete them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.
Outbound links to app operators go through a redirect path on this site that starts with /go/. The redirect lets the operator attribute the referral. Once you reach the operator's site, its own privacy policy, cookies and terms apply instead of this one. As of a check on 2026-10-28, several operators' policies allow chats to be used for model training or keep personal data for years after an account is closed, so read those documents separately before you sign up.
No analytics tool is active as of this update. Analytics may be added later, and before that happens this section will be revised to name the tool, the data it records and how to opt out. Under PIPEDA you can ask an organisation what personal information it holds about you, request a correction and complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Terms of use. By using this site you accept these terms. The content is general consumer information about third-party services and is not legal, financial or medical advice. The publisher does not operate, own or control any app described here and is not a party to any contract between you and an operator. Each operator handles subscriptions, refunds, cancellations, account deletion and content moderation under its own terms. Facts are checked on the dates shown, but an operator can change a plan, a limit or a policy at any time, and the site cannot guarantee that a described feature will stay available to Canadian accounts.

The operators' own rules prohibit such material, and it may be illegal. Text, tables and ratings on this site may not be republished in bulk without permission. Product and brand names belong to their owners and are used only to identify the services described. These terms and the policies above may change, and the date on this page shows the latest revision.
