To stop a web subscription from renewing, open Profile, select Subscription, go to Manage Subscription, choose Cancel Subscription and complete the confirmation prompts. If you bought the plan through an app store, use the subscription controls on that platform.
After you cancel, paid features stay active until the period you paid for ends. Once the account drops back to free access, you get 50 text messages a day and voice is read-only. You don't need to delete the account just to stop the next payment. Removing the app from your device does not cancel the subscription.

Cancel the plan, then decide what to do with the account
Cancelling and asking for a refund lead to different results. Nomi usually doesn't refund unused subscription time, partial billing periods or dissatisfaction. The policy allows exceptions at Nomi's discretion, but pressing Cancel does not entitle you to a refund. If you contact support about a payment, state the charge and where you bought it, and leave out any conversation history you don't need to share.
Not using the account won't prevent another charge. Closing the browser, removing the icon or ignoring the account leaves the recurring payment in place. What counts is a completed cancellation with an end-of-access date. Confirm you have that before you set the account aside, especially on a longer billing interval, where the next renewal is easy to forget.
- Check your receipt to see where you paid. A web plan is managed through Nomi's web flow, and a store subscription through the app store you bought it from. Before changing any settings, confirm that the account on screen is the one tied to that purchase.
- In Nomi's documented web flow, go to Profile and open Subscription. Select Manage Subscription to reach the controls for your active plan. Reaching this page does not cancel anything, so keep going if you want to end renewal.
- Choose Cancel Subscription and complete the confirmation prompts. Read the status that appears and the date your paid access ends. Save the cancellation confirmation, including which subscription it covers, so you can match it against a later statement if needed.
- Your current paid term will keep running. When it expires, the free tier allows 50 messages a day with up to 400 characters each, and voice features become read-only. If you regularly send longer messages or use voice, plan for that change.
- Account deletion is a separate decision. The documented route is Profile, Account Settings and Delete account, followed by email verification and typing DELETE. Save any fictional background notes you want to keep before you start.
- The privacy policy gives roughly 28 days for personal data removal, with exceptions. Support messages and records kept for legal reasons may be handled differently. Finishing a deletion request does not mean every record disappears right away.
Cancellation policy check

Account deletion follows the privacy policy dated April 27, 2026, which says personal data is removed in about 28 days, with exceptions. Your own subscription screen shows the renewal and access-end dates for the plan you are cancelling.
If you are leaving because the format does not suit you
You don't have to pick another paid companion straight away. After your paid term ends, the free account's 50 daily messages may be enough for occasional texting. If privacy is your concern, note that cancelling doesn't change the fact that Nomi lacks end-to-end encryption, and it doesn't remove the information stored on your account.

Frequently asked questions
Will uninstalling Nomi stop my payment?
No. Removing the app does not cancel the recurring subscription. Use the cancellation controls on the platform where you paid, complete the prompts and keep the confirmation. Once the paid period ends after a proper cancellation, the account returns to the free allowance of 50 messages a day. Uninstalling on its own does not do that.
Do paid features disappear as soon as I cancel?
No. Paid access lasts until the end of the current billing period. After that, free-tier limits apply, including 400 characters per message, and voice becomes read-only. Check the access-end date shown to you instead of assuming Cancel removes paid features immediately.

How do I delete my personal information as well?
Go to Profile, Account Settings and Delete account, then complete email verification and enter DELETE. The policy says personal information is removed in about 28 days, with exceptions for things like support records and legal retention. Cancel the subscription through the platform where you bought it, because deletion is not how you stop the recurring charge.
What should I keep after cancelling?
Keep the receipt, the account identifier and the cancellation confirmation showing the end date. Item names matter here: in the Canadian store, CA$129.99 appears next to both Standard Yearly and the 1,800-credit pack.
