18+ only. This review covers fictional adult characters and ordinary consumer terms.
The main thing to understand about OurDream AI is that the subscription pays for access and Dreamcoins pay for specific actions. Standard Monthly costs US$19.99 and includes 1,000 coins. Ordinary Standard paid text costs zero coins, but a minute of voice call costs 50 and a response from certain enhanced models costs one. The subscription does not make every feature unlimited.
The account terms are just as specific. If you cancel renewal, you keep access until the paid term ends. Permanent deletion cancels any active subscription automatically, forfeits the remaining coins without refund, and has a published processing period of 24 to 48 hours. These are two different ways to leave, and they have different consequences.
OurDream is run by Dream Studio USA, Inc., a Delaware company. Its privacy policy allows user content to be used for AI and machine-learning training and describes storage or transfers in the US. A known operator, published prices and account controls are enough for a factual comparison of the service. They do not tell you anything about measured dialogue quality, and they are not an independent security assessment.
Scores by criterion
Provisional (6/8 criteria). Scores are computed from each app's published terms, pricing, policies and store listings on the dates shown. We have not yet run paid test accounts; when we do, experience criteria will be added and the cap on the total score removed. Affiliate links never change a score. A score marked Full data rests on all eight criteria. Provisional means five to seven criteria could be scored from published facts. Limited data means only three or four criteria could be scored; such totals are capped at 3.5 and should be read as a floor, not a verdict. Apps with fewer than three scorable criteria get no total. Totals are weighted means of the scored criteria only and move when missing facts get documented. Full methodology

Subscription price and a realistic usage calculation
The annual offer lowers the displayed monthly figure but raises the amount you pay at once. US$119.88 is the annual payment, and US$9.99 is what that works out to per month. Putting it next to the monthly plan without saying so is misleading. In the same way, the 2,000 coins in the first annual allocation are not the regular monthly grant for the rest of the year.
For an ongoing budget, start with the regular 1,000 coins. Say a month includes 10 minutes of voice calls at 50 coins per minute and nothing else that spends coins. That uses 500 coins and leaves 500. On Standard Monthly the cost stays at US$19.99 in this scenario, before any checkout charges, because the calls fit inside the included balance.
If the same hypothetical month had 20 minutes of calls and no other charged actions, it would use all 1,000 coins. This depends on the published per-minute rate and a full starting grant. It does not mean every subscriber gets twenty free minutes on top of unlimited media, and unused allowance cannot be redeemed for cash.
Enhanced text changes the math too. Genius and Lively Genius responses cost one coin each, even though ordinary Standard paid text costs zero. An adult who uses those models often may spend the allowance on text before making any calls. A text response and a voice minute are not the same unit.
These are US-dollar offers. Canadian GST/HST, the checkout currency and any provider conversion are settled at the actual purchase. Official help says PayPal is not supported. The Canadian companion-service overview covers local purchasing without converting this global price into a made-up CAD offer.
| Offer | Published payment | Regular allowance | First-period distinction |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard Monthly | US$19.99 each month | 1,000 Dreamcoins at purchase and renewal | Regular grant starts at purchase |
| Standard Annual | US$119.88 upfront | 1,000 Dreamcoins in later months | 2,000 initially, including a 1,000-coin bonus |
| Annual monthly equivalent | US$9.99 per month equivalent | Same annual commitment | Comparison figure, not monthly billing |
What the documented feature set includes
The official community FAQ describes OurDream as a web service with a progressive web app (PWA) and no native app. A PWA is the browser-based product shown in an app-like window. Having one does not mean the subscription runs through Apple or Google, so don't assume app-store cancellation advice applies to an OurDream purchase.
Text falls into several billing categories. Standard paid conversation costs zero coins, free-account messages cost one coin, and Genius or Lively Genius responses cost one coin. The free-account figure is a debit rate. It does not say how many complimentary coins an account gets or whether there is a daily allocation. Any claim of unlimited text needs a model name and an account type next to it.
The published cost guide lists voice messages, calls and narration. Calls cost 50 coins per minute. Standard narration with the included voices costs zero coins, and premium narration costs five coins per paragraph. A paragraph is not a minute, and recorded narration is a different thing from a live call. Lumping them together as one voice feature hides what they actually cost.
The media tools have their own units as well. An in-chat image costs five coins. Two standard generated images cost ten, and creating a character with two images is listed at ten. Standard video is 100 coins for five seconds, and other video options cost different amounts. These figures describe published operations. They say nothing about how good or consistent the output looks.
The service includes custom character creation and community characters. This comparison is limited to fictional adults. A cost schedule and a feature list do not show a measured memory window, language skill or reliable long-term recall. Judging those would take more evidence than the presence of a button.
An adult service still has content restrictions
OurDream requires users to affirm they are 18+, and its prohibited-content rules still apply. The terms restrict unlawful exploitation, content involving children, and violations of privacy or likeness. This review discusses fictional adults only. Paying for a plan does not remove those limits.
The content policy and the spending schedule answer different questions. One tells you what is allowed, and the other tells you what an allowed action costs. A one-coin response or a 50-coin voice minute does not mean any request is permitted. The subscription price comes with no promise of removed filters or unrestricted use.
The practical question is whether a named feature, an account type and a stated rule line up. Keep ordinary text, enhanced text, narration and calls separate, and don't read a broad description of an adult service as a promise that every feature is available.
Training permission and deletion exceptions
The terms name Dream Studio USA, Inc. as the operator. The privacy policy allows collected information, including user content, to be used to train AI and machine-learning models. That is a contractual permission. It should not be softened into a claim that conversations are kept out of training, and it is not proof of how any particular conversation was used.
The policy describes encryption at rest and in transit, along with international storage and transfers that include the United States. These statements are about protecting data while it is stored and moved. They do not mean end-to-end encryption or a setup where only the user can read the conversation. Keep sensitive personal details out of fictional character material instead of relying on a confidentiality promise the policy doesn't make.
Account deletion is in the profile, in the danger zone at the bottom. The delete my account option leads to confirmation prompts. Official help gives a processing period of 24 to 48 hours and calls the deletion permanent. It also says an active subscription is cancelled automatically and the remaining coin balance is lost without refund.
The privacy policy adds exceptions that change what deletion means. Shared popular characters may stay up, and some records can be kept for legal reasons. The processing period does not override those exceptions. An accurate summary of deletion has two parts: the documented process permanently removes the account, and retained records and shared material are handled under the policy.
When thinking about privacy, treat the conversation, a shared character, a billing record and the information used for age verification as separate things. They are not necessarily handled together. Asking to stop renewal is also different from asking to remove the account, although permanent deletion does automatically stop subscription billing.
Age declaration and additional assurance
The published entry rule is an 18+ affirmation. The underage policy allows extra checks when needed, including third-party document or biometric services. That describes the methods the service may use. It does not confirm what the signup screens currently show in each country.
For a Canadian adult, what matters is the method shown to that particular account. A self-declaration, an independently assessed age result and a completed ID-document check are different kinds of evidence. Paying US$19.99 for a month does not prove that any of those checks has happened.
If verification is requested, use the actual age-assurance process, and keep identifying material out of ordinary character chats. The fictional-adult scope still applies after registration. Neither the free-account message rate nor the paid coin allowance changes the published age threshold.
Renewal cancellation and permanent closure
Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel. To cancel renewal, the documented route is the profile, then Cancel subscription, then the confirmation prompts. Access continues until the current paid period ends. You can spend remaining Dreamcoins during that time, but unused coins do not come back automatically if you subscribe again after they expire.
Permanent account deletion has its own route and a stronger effect. From the profile, go to the danger zone, select delete my account and follow the prompts. The help page says any active subscription is cancelled automatically, the account is permanently removed, and unused coins are lost without refund. It gives a processing time of 24 to 48 hours.
Cancelling does not by itself trigger a refund. An annual US$119.88 purchase stays an annual commitment. Showing its price as a monthly equivalent does not turn it into a series of refundable monthly payments. When reading a confirmation, keep the billing term and the account action separate.
The same goes for the PWA. Removing a browser shortcut is not the documented way to cancel. Use the service's own controls to end renewal or delete the account, and don't assume an app-like icon decides how you pay.
Conditions that can change the apparent value
- The regular 1,000-coin grant is shared across metered features. Ordinary paid text costs zero coins, but certain enhanced models and 50-coin voice minutes still draw down the balance. Calling the whole subscription unlimited would leave out those costs.
- The first annual grant is 2,000 coins, including a 1,000-coin bonus. Later allocations go back to 1,000. A budget based only on the first month can overstate the ongoing allowance.
- Once the paid term ends, a later subscription does not automatically restore unused coins. Permanent deletion also forfeits the remaining balance without refund and cancels membership automatically.
- The Trustpilot profile showed a removal notice when checked on 28 October 2026, so it gives no usable current score. The notice alone does not show any specific offence and does not justify a fraud allegation.
- The privacy policy allows AI training and retention for legal reasons. The 24 to 48 hour deletion process should not be described as a firm deadline for erasing every retained record or shared character.
Compare allowances and account controls
This table compares specific terms. It is not a set of interchangeable quality scores. OurDream's monthly coin balance measures something different from Nomi's daily message allowance or SpicyChat's persona count. You can read the OurDream alternatives comparison by feature and account requirement, without taking a bigger number as proof of better conversation.
When comparing services, keep the billing channel, reset period and deletion effect tied to each product. OurDream's rule that permanent deletion automatically cancels the subscription belongs to OurDream. Don't assume another service works the same way just because it also has a Delete Account button.
| Service | Documented allowance or price | Text/account distinction | Cancellation or privacy point |
|---|---|---|---|
| OurDream | US$19.99/month; 1,000 coins | Ordinary paid text 0 coins; selected models 1 | Deletion automatically cancels membership; 24 to 48 hour process |
| Nomi | 50 free messages/day; 400-character free input | Free plan and voice restrictions separate | Explicitly not end-to-end encrypted; deletion about 28 days with exceptions |
| SpicyChat | 3 free personas; new entry plan US$5.95/month | Paid context windows depend on tier | Plan changes can end an older price; deletion is separate from cancellation |
Which requirements fit the published terms?
If you're comfortable budgeting a fixed US$19.99 monthly subscription and a shared 1,000-coin balance, you have something concrete to judge OurDream by. The published schedule shows when ordinary paid text is included and when model choice, narration or voice uses coins. That helps if you treat the account as a metered service.
If you need a set daily free quota, your needs are different. The one-coin free-account message rate does not provide one. If you need a verified Canadian price with tax included or a measured memory capability, you also need more evidence than these global terms offer. Those needs should stay explicit instead of being met with an estimate.
For a wider look at features and subscription structures, see the AI companion overview. The useful comparison is whether a given allowance, privacy condition and exit procedure suit how you plan to use the service, without assuming that paying removes every limit.
What we like
- Clear published units for anyone managing a shared coin budget
- A browser PWA for people who want the web service in an app-like window
What could be better
- No evidence of a standard daily free-message grant
- Not a fit if you expect every model and voice action to be unlimited
- Training permission and deletion exceptions are worth weighing
Frequently asked questions
Is OurDream's monthly plan US$19.99 or US$9.99?
Standard Monthly is US$19.99. The US$9.99 figure is the monthly equivalent of the US$119.88 annual upfront purchase. The two have different payment periods, even though both can be shown as a monthly number. The first annual allocation also includes a bonus, so its initial 2,000 coins are not the regular allocation for every month.
What does the free-account message rate establish?
The guide lists one Dreamcoin per message for a free account. It does not mention a fixed signup grant or a daily refill. Referral rewards and occasional community giveaways have their own conditions. A spending rate tells you how a balance is used up. It doesn't tell you how many complimentary coins you'll get.
Does every paid text response use zero coins?
Ordinary Standard paid text costs zero coins, but Genius and Lively Genius responses cost one each. Voice uses a different unit: 50 coins per minute. When reading your balance, look at the account type, model and action together rather than assuming the subscription treats every feature the same.
Is there a native OurDream app?
The official community FAQ describes a browser PWA and says there is no native app. That is about how the product is delivered and has nothing to do with the size of the 1,000-coin monthly grant. An app-like window does not mean the subscription goes through Apple or Google, and it doesn't change the documented cancellation controls in the profile.
Does permanent deletion stop subscription billing?
Yes. Official deletion help says an active subscription is cancelled automatically. The deletion is permanent, remaining coins are lost without refund, and processing takes 24 to 48 hours. Ordinary renewal cancellation goes less far: you keep paid access until the current term ends.
Can the regular coin allowance cover a short voice budget?
At 50 coins per minute, a hypothetical ten minutes uses 500 coins from the regular 1,000-coin allocation, leaving 500 if nothing else has been charged. This only illustrates the published units. It does not mean calls are unlimited, that there's a grant of extra free minutes, or that coins have a cash top-up price.
Will all information disappear within 48 hours?
The deletion help gives a processing period of 24 to 48 hours. The privacy policy separately allows retention for legal reasons and says shared popular characters may remain. Because of those exceptions, the processing time is not a guarantee covering every type of data. Cancelling renewal also does not request account deletion.
Can the Trustpilot profile provide a current aggregate rating?
On 28 October 2026 the Trustpilot page showed a profile-removal notice instead of a usable current score. The notice does not identify any specific proven offence, and calling it fraud would go further than the notice does. Published subscription terms and a notice on a review platform are different kinds of evidence.
