AI girlfriend voice call: compare the audio feature before paying
Compare seven fictional companion audio options by call access, voice-message format, minute costs and privacy, without invented quality scores.

In this article
18+ only. This audio comparison covers ordinary conversations with fictional adult characters. We checked audio features and allowances on 2026-10-28 and updated the article on 2026-10-29. A voice message, a text-to-speech rendering and a live call are different features.
Start with the kind of audio you want
An AI girlfriend voice call needs a different comparison from a voice message. Nomi and Replika document paid calls. Secrets charges 50 Moments per call minute, and OurDream charges 50 Dreamcoins. Kupid, CrushOn and Nastia describe other voice allowances or message features. The units, access rules and formats below are not sound-quality scores.
The companion overview compares the wider subscriptions behind these audio features.

Seven audio offers with different practical uses
Nomi: paid calls alongside a defined free text allowance
- Price / monthCA$12.99/mo
- Free tier50 msg/day
- NSFWyes
- Age checkself declaration
- PlatformsWeb, iOS
Nomi documents voice messages and calls. When the account returns to free access, voice becomes read-only. The 50 daily free messages apply to text, not to a free calling quota. That helps if you want to try the character format before deciding whether spoken interaction is worth a subscription.
On Canadian iOS, the Standard Quarterly item is CA$49.99 and Standard Yearly is CA$129.99. Keep those term-labelled purchases apart from the generically named CA$19.99 Standard item, whose public label doesn't state an interval. A subscription price tells you nothing measured about accent handling or response delay.
Nomi states plainly that it has no end-to-end encryption. Use fictional background details and read the data terms before a comfortable voice tempts you to share sensitive information. The named memory tools are feature descriptions, not guarantees of flawless recall.
Paid accounts can write up to 800 characters per input, against 400 on free access. That limit covers written input and is not a benchmark for spoken recall. Paid capacity also includes up to 10 companions and 10 group chats. Decide whether you actually have a use for those next to voice; they are not a reason to keep more characters than you want.
To cancel, go to Profile, Subscription, Manage Subscription and follow the confirmation prompts. Paid access continues through the purchased term. Deleting the account is a separate action, with personal data removed over roughly 28 days and some stated exceptions. Keep the payment confirmation apart from the fictional conversation so you can manage a charge without preserving every exchange.
What we like
- Calls and voice messages are described explicitly.
- Free text lets you try the format separately.
What could be better
- Voice requires membership.
- Conversation is not end-to-end encrypted.
Replika: calls within the named Pro feature set
- NSFWlimited
- PlatformsWeb, iOS
Replika's Pro description includes voice messages and calls. The ongoing avatar format may suit someone who prefers talking to one recurring fictional presence. Free chat and avatar customization sit outside that paid feature list, so a free download doesn't imply any call allowance.
Canadian store entries carry different names and prices, including Annual ULTRA at CA$114.99. Check the entitlement attached to the item you pick instead of assuming every generic Monthly or Annual purchase is the same Pro plan. You should be able to identify the feature you need before you pay.
Account controls matter too if you plan to use it regularly. You can remove saved memories one at a time, but clearing the full history requires deleting the account. The privacy policy allows some profile and message data to be kept for up to 60 days after the contract. Cancellation and deletion each need separate attention.
The help route for cancelling starts in the app or web account: the settings gear, Subscription, then Cancel subscription, with confirmation through the original billing platform. Uninstalling the app does not end the payment agreement. Keep the original receipt so you can tell which product and channel you used, especially when the store shows several annual items with similar names.
Read the retention terms as well as the memory controls. Some financial or device records can be kept for at least 10 years for legal purposes, which is a different category from saved character memories. Removing a remembered fictional fact does not erase every account record. An audio routine should suit both the access arrangement and how much personal information you're comfortable leaving with the provider.
Pick a recurring purchase you can keep paying for comfortably.
What we like
- Pro names both calls and voice messages.
- You can remove individual saved memories.
What could be better
- Store purchase labels need careful tier matching.
- Deleting an account does not cancel billing by itself.
Secrets: a call-minute rate and a separate speech-rendering rate
- Price / monthUS$19.99/mo
- Free tier20 msg/day
- NSFWyes
- Age checkself declaration
- PlatformsWeb
Secrets puts numbers on the audio distinction. Calls cost 50 Moments per minute. Text-to-speech costs 10 Moments per 100 characters, rounded up, and enhanced text and audio tags count toward that total. Listening to generated speech and staying on a call are budgeted in different units.
Premium grants 8,000 Moments a month and Ultimate grants 15,000. Other actions draw on the same resources, so don't treat the whole allocation as calling time unless your budget sets it aside for that. Monthly grants reset. Purchased top-ups don't expire, and buying them requires a paid membership.
Regular Premium costs US$19.99 monthly or US$109.99 annually. Ultimate costs US$39.99 monthly or US$319.99 annually. The Premium annual equivalent of US$9.17 is a comparison figure for an annual purchase in US dollars. Check the current renewal and final payment before reading it as a Canadian monthly charge.
Free text is limited to 20 sent messages a day, and custom characters also have a cap of 100 messages total, according to the guide rechecked on 2026-10-29. Those overlapping limits apply to trying out text and should not be presented as free calling time. The first custom character is free. Each additional one costs 500 Moments, another draw on the resource that audio also uses.
The statement descriptor is S LABS INC. To cancel, go to Settings, Manage Subscription, Cancel Subscription, pick a reason and confirm. Access lasts until the period ends, and the help pages say chats and memories remain afterward. Work out whether you want to stop paying or remove the account; the cancellation route only does the first.
What we like
- The guide separates calls from text-to-speech.
- Moment grant and top-up rules are stated separately.
What could be better
- Other activities consume the same resource.
- An annual equivalent is not monthly billing.
OurDream: calls consume Dreamcoins beside standard text
- Price / monthUS$19.99/mo
- NSFWyes
- Age checkself declaration
- PlatformsWeb
OurDream's action guide charges 50 Dreamcoins per minute of voice call. Standard paid text costs 0 Dreamcoins, and other model or narration actions are priced separately. A subscription described by its text access does not mean calls are unmetered.
Standard Monthly is US$19.99 and grants 1,000 Dreamcoins at purchase and at each monthly renewal. The annual offer starts with a different allocation that includes a bonus. If you plan a regular audio routine, keep the recurring grant separate from the opening incentive.
If speaking is your main interest, compare the call rate, the included resource and the amount you authorize in your payment channel. None of these measure sound quality. Decide whether a metered format suits how you'll use it before choosing a longer term.
The published annual Standard offer is US$119.88. It starts with 2,000 Dreamcoins, including a 1,000-coin bonus, then 1,000 each following month. Don't treat that opening amount as a recurring call budget. It is also still an annual payment, even when a monthly equivalent appears next to it.
The audio guide prices narration separately from calls: standard narration with included voices costs 0 Dreamcoins, and Premium narration costs 5 per paragraph. A recorded reading and a live exchange can use up resources at different rates. The same goes for text models, since Genius responses have their own coin cost. Pick the activity first and check its unit before estimating how far a balance will go in your routine.
What we like
- A voice-call minute has a published Dreamcoin cost.
- Standard text and other actions are priced separately.
What could be better
- Call use draws on the resource balance.
- A purchase bonus is not the recurring monthly grant.
Kupid: weekly voice capacity without assuming live calls
- NSFWlimited
- PlatformsWeb
Kupid lists 12 voice minutes per week on Pro and 35 on Ultra. Those capacity figures are useful, but the word voice alone does not mean live calling. If you want an interactive call rather than listening to messages, confirm which feature you'd get before choosing a plan.
The same comparison lists 4 custom characters on Pro and 8 on Ultra. Character capacity and voice time are separate limits, and a bigger cast doesn't make the weekly audio allowance go further for each character.
Read the purchase term carefully. The nonrenewal wording on the pricing page and the cancellation language in the terms need to be read against the specific offer. The privacy policy also says personal information is normally retained for 6 years after closure. Anonymous-sounding marketing and a convincing voice shouldn't outweigh that policy in your decision.
The published context comparison mentions the last 100 messages. That is a claimed conversation limit, not proof that a voice interaction will recall every part of a long story. If continuity matters, keep a short fictional outline and compare the available controls instead of assuming a larger voice allowance also changes memory.
Coins follow their own rules. Subscription, trial and promotional allocations expire 6 months after they're granted, while packs you buy directly don't expire. The balance that expires soonest is spent first. Without an applicable action rate, these balance terms can't be converted into call minutes. If the payment wording or the role of a balance is unclear for your offer, settle that before committing to a longer term for audio.
What we like
- Weekly voice allowances are stated by tier.
- Character capacities are described separately.
What could be better
- A voice allowance is not proof of a live-call format.
- Payment and retention terms need close reading.
CrushOn: presets and custom voice slots
- Price / monthUS$5.99/mo
- NSFWlimited
- PlatformsWeb
CrushOn advertises more than 40 voice presets, and paid offers include between 3 and 30 custom voice slots. These figures cover voice selection and customization. They don't establish a live calling feature, a free-minute allowance or how closely a voice will match the accent you prefer.
The wider chat offer separates unlimited free-model use from 100 Pro credits a month. A text allowance is not an audio entitlement. Check the feature and tier that apply to the voice option instead of assuming the entry plan includes every advertised customization.
According to the FAQ, you can delete individual messages only if they are less than 24 hours old. For ordinary fictional conversation, leave private identifying information out of the character background from the start. A private creation mode controls visibility and is not a blanket confidentiality guarantee.
Listed voice languages include English, German, Japanese and Spanish, among others. These are the vendor's feature labels, not independent listening results. A language option tells you what to try, but it doesn't mean every voice has the accent or delivery you want. For a recurring fictional character, base the choice on the audio format and controls your account actually has.
Paid Standard is advertised at US$5.99 a month with 2,000 Pro credits. That allocation covers model resources and does not promise any number of voice minutes. Cancellation starts at Profile and Manage Subscription and continues through the original payment provider. Check whether it ends access immediately or only stops renewal, then keep the confirmation with the receipt for your plan.
Pick an audio feature for what it does in the fictional conversation.
What we like
- Preset and custom-slot quantities are clear.
- The model allowances can be compared separately.
What could be better
- Preset counts do not measure voice quality.
- Individual-message removal has a stated time limit.
Nastia: voice messages within a web companion offer
- Price / monthUS$15.99/mo
- Free tierNSFW on free
- NSFWyes
- Age checkthird party
- PlatformsWeb
Nastia's advertised Unlimited plan includes voice messages and custom voices for US$15.99 a month, plus applicable taxes. Those are recorded audio features and shouldn't be presented as a verified live-call entitlement. Someone who wants asynchronous listening has different needs from someone looking for a live conversation.
The free tier is described as one companion with daily token limits. That does not amount to unlimited free audio. Look at the named feature and payment term instead of assuming the word Unlimited covers every activity with no separate rules.
Removing the account starts with cancelling the membership, because an active subscription blocks deletion. Some enforcement records can be kept for up to 7 years, or longer when required. Read those exit conditions before you put a lot of personal context into an ongoing audio routine.
The cancellation guide lays out the steps: the sidebar or profile menu, Membership, Manage, then the cancellation control in the Danger Zone and its confirmation. Paid access continues through the period. Once the membership is cancelled, account deletion has its own confirmation and password step. Read that sequence before you count on deletion to stop an audio subscription.
The marketing also mentions persistent memory but offers no tested recall result. Remembering a detail and sounding convincing in a recorded voice are different product qualities. Keep your own outline for a continuing fictional character and judge the format on its own terms. If you want an interactive call rather than a voice message, a custom-voice label doesn't answer that question.
What we like
- The paid offer names voice messages and custom voices.
- The cancellation-before-deletion sequence is documented.
What could be better
- Voice messages are different from live calls.
- Free marketing does not establish unlimited audio.
Choose a format before comparing minutes
Decide first whether you want a live exchange or recorded audio. Secrets' 50 Moments and OurDream's 50 Dreamcoins per minute are different resources. Compare the subscription, grant and extra purchases for the activity you want. The general companion comparison covers character tools and account controls as well as audio.
How we score
Scores are computed from each app's published terms, pricing, policies and store listings on the dates shown. We have not yet run paid test accounts; when we do, experience criteria will be added and the cap on the total score removed. Affiliate links never change a score. Full methodology

A reassuring voice does not change the data terms
Nomi states plainly that it has no end-to-end encryption, and Kupid normally keeps personal information for 6 years after closure. A familiar voice doesn't change those terms. Use fictional adult backgrounds, keep sensitive details elsewhere and treat cancellation and account deletion as separate steps. Store payment confirmations apart from your creative conversations.
Match the audio feature to a manageable commitment
Match the audio format to how it's charged, for example Secrets' 50 Moments per call minute. Then pick a term you can afford and read the exit controls. A voice label or a large preset catalogue can't establish naturalness, confidentiality or reliable judgement.
Frequently asked questions
Which products describe live calls?
Nomi, Replika, Secrets and OurDream document calls. Access works differently: Secrets and OurDream each publish a rate of 50 units per minute in their own resource systems.
Does Nomi offer free calling?
Nomi keeps voice for subscribers. The 50 daily free messages are text, and voice becomes read-only after a downgrade.
Are Moments and Dreamcoins equivalent?
The labels don't imply any cash equivalence. Both call rates are 50 units per minute, but grants, purchases and other uses differ.
Do preset counts measure quality?
CrushOn's more than 40 presets describe the range of choice, not accent accuracy, naturalness or response delay. Having a preset doesn't automatically mean you get live calls.
The broader feature comparison also separates vendor claims from account controls.
How is speech rendering priced?
Secrets lists 10 Moments per 100 characters for text-to-speech, rounded up. Calls cost 50 Moments per minute instead.
Is Annual ULTRA the Replika Pro price?
The Canadian CA$114.99 item is labelled Annual ULTRA. Check the tier and entitlement you're choosing rather than treating every annual listing as Pro.
Do voice minutes prove live calling?
Kupid lists 12 weekly voice minutes on Pro and 35 on Ultra. Those allowances alone don't tell you whether the format is a live call.
Does input length measure memory?
Nomi's paid 800-character limit applies to written input. It doesn't measure the memory window or show that spoken conversation is better.
